Tyr Encounters, Part I

TYRIAN PHILOSOPHY
Duty brings the wolf to heel.

Main Emphasis
(d20)
1-2. Be prepared to give whatever is necessary in the name of the Law
3-4. Keep one’s word, even unto death
5-6. Purge that which is unclean before Lord Tyr’s eyes
7-8. Bring fiery doom to all witches
9-10. An idle wit leads to the heretic’s spit
11. War
12. Germanic Leader, Sky Father
13. The T Rune
14-20. All are emphasized

For example, if a cleric of Tyr's focus was on to keep one's word, even unto death, then he could get a +2 bonus to a roll when doing so if it risks death rather than gaining a save bonus vs. unholy creatures.  The requirements for one or more his magical side-effects could be replaced too. For example, side-effect result #11 (Temperance is Next to Godliness) could make the spell's recipient take a vow and keep it in order to benefit from the spell for the duration instead of eschewing wine, women, and song.

===========================

Optional Rule: Clerics Changing Prepared Spells
If the less martial cleric-types (such as seidkonas) can change prepared spells to those of a certain type, then fully martial (normal) clerics might seem shortchanged. Followers of Tyr would likely stare at such an assertion, reminding the foolish that spells are only a minor consideration when it comes to following Tyr's ways. Still, if a different spell that the cleric can be cast is sorely needed rather than one prepared, then the cleric can trigger a divine test in order to do so.
